Albert “Al” Calcagni, age 87, passed away May 13, 2024. He was the loving husband of Sandra J. (Esposito) Moreau Calcagni, to whom he has shared 30 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasco and Helen (Macarusso) Calcagni. A graduate from Lasalle Academy, Al went on to become a Carpenter with Local 94 for many years prior to his retirement.
A talented carpenter, and wonderful cook, Al enjoyed music and played both the saxophone and piano. He especially loved his dog Tony.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Albert Calcagni Jr. and his wife Lori, Angelo Calcagni, Deanna Calcagni-Rowlands and her husband Thomas, as well as his step children Lori Russo and her husband Gary, and Charles Moreau Jr. Al also had five beloved grandchildren. He was uncle to Richard Calcagni and the late Patricia Calcagni, and the brother of the late Henry Calcagni.
Relatives and friends are invited to join his Funeral Service on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 12:00PM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior from 10:00AM-12:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital online at: https://www.stjude.org/donate. Burial to take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
