They met to remember their fallen fellow officers.

According to Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins, “many gathered for this morning’s annual Cranston Police Department Memorial Ceremony to honor and recognize police officers' dedication and heroism.”

“Beautiful tribute was paid to fallen officers and their families,” Hopkins posted on social media. “Thank you to everyone who was able to join us to commemorate our fallen officers, and to remember the values of service, integrity, and compassion and they lived by. Together, Cranston, let us strive to build a community that honors their sacrifice and upholds the principles that our officers have so valiantly defended. Every day, I am grateful for our police department's vigilant service. Thank you again to each of our officers for serving the noble mission of law enforcement in safeguarding our city.”
