How many more deaths from OUI until this State gets serious with punishment? A child and a senior citizen die on the same night within 3 miles of each other at the hands of habitual offenders. Don't think for a second there is not an unholy alliance between politicians, politician-lawyers, and the judges who are confirmed by them that allows this carnage to continue. Keep that revolving door going, R&r, trial, slap on the wrist and the mayhem continues...Only way everybody in the proceedings gets paid. Ask Mikey McCaffrey, he's the Senate Judiciary chairman...YO CHAIRMAN, where is your "leadership" and sponsored legislation that changes these mickey mouse plea deals into serious felonies, like in many other States? Explain yourself. I won't hold my breath for any of this to change, unless KARMA intercedes, and some politician, lawyer or judges kid gets killed by a druggie or drunk...Then watch how fast the sentencing guidelines change...OK public, you can go back to sleep.
