Dear Carol,

You know me. You see me at almost all of the School Committee meetings including the budget meeting last week at Warwick Vets where the water in the parking lot was 5 inches deep. I waded through that water when I left! I attend all of these meetings and the City Council meetings as well because, like you, I love this city and the 80,000 citizens that live here. Avedisian hasn't attended one School Committee meeting in the two years that I campaigned. That is a fact. He also went on one of his five vacations of 2015 DURING THE BUDGET HEARINGS of that year as I attended every day, every hour. You will recall that he also had a part-time job as Chairman of the R.I. Public Transit Authority. That's not the kind of thing I would ever do as a full-time Mayor. Neither would you. Neither would anyone who really cared. The Mayor is a servant of the taxpayers, not the other way around. The Mayor is the "employee". The 80,000 taxpayers that are paying the tab are the "employers". That's the way I see it.
