Dear editor,

You state that Mayor Avedisian "looked to restart mediation by joining the process in January. That means that he was not involved until then. That is about two years of "not being involved". That is not the record of previous Mayors. i.e. Joe Walsh who "locked everyone in a room until they had a contract". It wouldn't be my record either.

I campaigned for Mayor in 2016 promising that I would work every day, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week until we had a contract.

I repeat that commitment today. This is the most pressing issue facing Warwick today. We have a student population that has crashed from 17,000 to well under 9,000. We need a Mayor that is totally committed. We don't have one today, but 2018 is right around the corner.
