Let's get this right taxpayers. When the Mayor says we have a 10 million dollar "surplus" that means a 10 million dollar "overcharge". When the budget goes from $295,000,000 to $310,000,000 that means he is raising taxes AGAIN, this time by $15,000,000! That's 18 years in a row! Every time he does that we lose population. In the last ten years Warwick has lost 5,800 taxpayers, according to the U.S. Census, 4,666 businesses and our student population crashed from over 17,000 to under 9,000. Raising taxes and spending more isn't working!

Cut taxes - cut spending. That will work.

I just came back from a Florida visit. Their population is exploding and their real estate taxes just went down a whopping 31 %. If Warwick cuts taxes we will attract new taxpayers and the total tax revenue will INCREASE as a result.

Happy Summer all.

The Taxpayers Mayor

P.S. When then-Governor and again when then-President Ronald Reagan had a surplus he sent rebate checks to every taxpayer. That's what I would do if I were Mayor. Please hold me to that.
