I actually agree with you on the Mr. Cushman. On the state level, we spend 3.4 BILLION dollars annually on social services and entitlements. Even if we enacted no pension reform next year and contribute the 620 million into the fund which would be called for, that is still less than 20% of the 3.4 BILLION we handout to the supposidly poor and disabled. No doubt there are many who need the aid. However, while we all rightfully get up in arms over a firefighter on disability while being seemingly able bodied, we do ABSOLUTELY nothing to combat the far larger and far costlier problem of the thousands upon thousands bilking TDI, SSI, SSDI, RIte Care, Section 8, SNAP, Welfare, LEAP and on and on and on...

Pensions cost need to be controlled agreed however, we are all up in arms over 620 million yet we ignore the far larger elephant in the room that cost us 3.4 BILLION a year. As this bill proves, its not stopping.
