Read the Mayor's letters to the FAA and you'll see that with the deadline to file an appeal upon the city, the mayor is not telling the truth. Scott Avedisian has turned his back on his constituents and instead agreed to help his friend Linc Chafee further profit off the backs of the citizens of Warwick. Here's what the mayor said on record before his flip flop, and please never again vote for Avedisian.

“Due to the numerous issues that the DEIS has not adequately addressed along with the premature removal of Alternative B3, and the City's belief that the analysis used to select B4 is contrary to NEPA principles, the city must object to the DEIS until a supplemental study is completed which properly addresses the issues and concerns outlined in the attached document.

Sincerely,

Scott Avedisian” 9/13/2010

Well, there was no Supplemental EIS, and the FAA failed to address city concerns in the Final EIS or Record of Decision, and the mayor turned his back on constituents, and the City Council stepped in to protect the city and constituent’s rights.

Apparently the mayor is not so sincere with his constituents.

As for Mr. Dillon’s proposed MOU asking in advance for the city to promise to give up ALL its rights (so RIAC can continue to damage the people in Warwick), that was a clear red flag that Mr. Dillon does not act in the interest of the people in Warwick. Mr. Dillon's proposed MOU was not worth the paper it was written on as it was non-binding with Mr. Dillon’s weasel words of mitigating on a “best efforts basis” rather than on a basis that is legally enforceable.
