Show Opposition to money interests of Rhode Island Airport Corporation, Providence Chamber of Commerce, Go Green Alliance, unions, trying to place undue influence on the Warwick City Council. The money interests have asked the Warwick City Council to rescind a court action filed in the US Court of Appeals, Washington, DC Circuit, the City Council's intent in filing the court action was to preserve city's legal rights and protect the interests of the city and its citizens.

1) The Rhode Island Airport Corporation, Providence Chamber of Commerce, some trade unions, and their lobbyists, have objected to the Warwick City Council's filing a court action to protect the city and citizens, have asked the City Council in a written letter to withdraw it's court action.

2) The Rhode Island Airport Corporation, Providence Chamber of Commerce, some trade unions, and their lobbyists, plan on lobbying the Warwick City Hall this coming Monday, December 19, 2011, beginning approx 6:00 pm. to ask the City Council to withdraw it's court action. By doing so, the money interests are interfering with a legal process designed to protect the public.

3) Local Citizens have asked the Warwick City Council to NOT WITHDRAW its court action which names the FAA as respondent.

4) Providence Chamber of Commerce, some trade unions, are not parties to the environmental review process the way the city is, however they feel they have a financial entitlement and that their imaginary financial entitlement is more important than local people's health and welfare.

5) The other issue is that City Council President Bruce Place is refusing to allow even one public member to be part of a committee to have transparency in managing the legal and many other airport community problems. It’s as if he and the mayor want to sweep it all under the rug.

Imagine the president of the Warwick City Council shutting out participation and oversight from the public and wanting to continue behind closed doors with RIAC, but refusing to meet with constituents on the issues. What is it he wants to hide by going into private conversations with the Rhode Island Airport Corporation? All negotiations between the city and RIAC need to be in open forum so they no longer pull the wool over our heads.

The public deserves to have at least one member on that committee for transparency. It's obvious the unions have gotten to the mayor and now it seems they've gotten to the City Council President, for their actions show they are more intent on undue influence from the RI Airport Corporation, the Providence Chamber of Commerce, and unions expecting to share in greed.
