I wonder why they posted the RIPTA bus schedule and the MBTA schedule at the car rental desk five minutes away from the passenger terminal? In most airports these kinds of things are displayed near the luggage pick up area where the people need to know whether to take a bus or a train as they stumble over the only obvious transportation available, the taxi booth. And it would be nice if local people getting off the airplanes could look at the traffic monitors as they leave the terminal for their cars for what could be a long ride home. I am sure that out of town people about to rent a car have not a single clue about what to do with mysterious traffic cameras pointing at the Superman Building in downtown Providence or the Route 6 Route 295 interchange in Johnston.

This is the kind of thing that cries for citizen comment and involvement. RIAC might know how to keep runways going, but the planners there know little if anything about how people actually use intermodal forms of transportation - buses, bikes, and trains. Car rental customers could give a hoot about any of this. Yet, that is where they put this intermodal board.
