Visited pub for the first time for a mid afternoon lunch. Not impressed. The bar is nice as advertised but small. It was a nice sunny day so I ate on the outside terrace which is sand with picnic tables and umbrellas. Food was good but service was poor. I had a blue cheese burger that was done to my liking and very flavorful. Fries were good but there wasn't enough of them. Waited at least 15 minutes for a draft beer. Meanwhile, other people that arrived later were served drinks. Waiter said he forgot the order. He came back later and said there was a problem with the draft beer keg, the bar tender didn't report to work today, and the chef's helper was late - too much info. I then order a different draft and my burger. After a further wait I finally got up and went to the bar to check on my beer. Burger came shortly after. Waiter was very apologetic but made no attempt to make amends. Overheard a waitress tell two patrons that ordered domestic bottled beer that she'd have to check if the beer was cold. The pub is located on a marina. It's scenic, but I wouldn't say its a" breath-taking view.". The pub didn't make me feel as though I was "on the Emerald Isle itself" I was anticipating a relaxing lunch by the bay, but the poor service killed that. Difinitely will not return.
