I heard they're constructing the new Winslow Park softball and soccers fields. When will this project be completed?... Anyone?

In the FEIS the FAA says this project will be completed by the end of 2012.

I'm wondering what the newly re-located Winslow Park softball and soccers fields will be named.

I believe but I am not sure Mr. William Winslow of Warwick or next of kin donated two parcels of land to the City of Warwick which were originally bounded by (streets): Hunt, Greeley, Stephens and Groveland Avenues approximately in the late 1930's or early 1940's.

These two parcels of land were intended for recreational use specifically for "hardball" baseball. If my memory serves me correct, there were two "hardball" baseball fields, a play ground and basketball court which came later on maybe in the 1960's or 1970's.

Since this land was originally donated to the City of Warwick on behalf of the Winslow family I believe it is only fair to say they should rename the new re-located Winslow Park softball and soccers fields to some other name OTHER THAN "WINSLOW PARK" and the original two parcels of land should be marked off with a small monument or something identifying this as the original "Winslow Park" if nothing else to retain the the rich history and heritage of the City of Warwick as we knew it then.
