Why can't a Republican be pro-environment? I don't get it really. The only Republican that I know that cares about the environment is our own Mayor! He has done so much for the city of Warwick which has saved us millions of dollars just by changing lights throughout city buildings to a more efficient product, recycling second to none, the transfer station, I can go on and on.

But with the exception of our Mayor I don't know of any other Republican that cares about the environment. I think Republicans would have so many more votes with people if they just softened their cruel punishment on mother Earth. The make money at all cost doesn't settle well with me. We have to leave something for our kids! As global warming melts our northern pole we still are talking about increasing oil drilling. President Obama has it correct (althought with some set backs), we need to get away from oil as our main energy and transportation source for fuel.

Every year that passes we are warmer than the previous year globally. This year alone the first 9 months in U.S. history the warmest ever temps have been recorded. So the warm trend continues. This can only be explained non-naturally. This isn't a normal cycle in the millions of years Earth has been around which is what people like to put up as an argument. In addition, the sun isn't doing anything different to explain the warming pattern.

So Republicans if you want to win, win, win. And don't lie about it, be true to your word. Be pro-environment. I'm not saying change your Republican ($$) ways. All I'm asking is that you make $$ not by destroying the environment, but by protecting and sustaining it. There is more to life than $$ believe it or not.
