The real issue here is whether the Councilman should receive lifetime health-care after only 6 years in office. If you think he should, simply admit it.

Does it really matter what the useless ethics commision says? Remember they allowed State Reps and Senators to vote on legislation that directly benefited them financially. (Former Senate President made hundreds of thousands of dollars in CVS scandal and was not found guilty of any ethical charges) They are a useless body.

The ethical thing for the councilman to do in this case would have been to recuse himeself from the vote. He didn't do that. I would think that most people would agree that that was not a morally correct thing to do.

One other important issue is whether the other council members conspired to hold the vote until the councilman was sworn into office to allow him to get the same lifetime healthcare benegfit they all are getting. That's immoral in book too.

Council President Bruce Place is leaving the council and the city for that matter after his 6 years - he's getting lifetime healthcare. Councilman Delguidice is leaving with lifetime healthcare after 8 years in office. The city employees should be outraged, especialy when they aren't getting a raise for the next three years.
