"Surprisingly, the bid is not much more than that received in 2009, said Reynolds. The need for the work was recognized back then, however the city didn’t have the funding or the grants at the time." In 2009, the city didn't have the money to do repairs... but it has the money now? It is not just grant money being used to fix it, it is a portion of the $30 Million more annually the city collects in tax revenue. We are fixing the top of the building while the streets around it turn to rubble.

The city will be paying more money to fix this issue than it gave in additional revenue to the schools in the last 5 years. The city budget is up $30 Million annually. It is great that they are fixing the clocks, maybe people will realize it is time for this administration to go.

Another way of saying you care for the city is by not allowing employees to drive around wasting gas or letting employees steal and giving them their job back, but I guess repairing these urns is definitely the way to go to show us you care.
