It never ceases to amaze me how there are so many round numbers thrown around regarding these options. First we're told that a brick school can be demolished & rebuilt for $350K. Not 348,000 not $352,000 but $350,000.

Then we're told that the school could be retrofitted to house a gymnasium for something north of $1M. Since when is Warwick flush w/ cash? Who's clamoring for a gym?

Lastly, if the school had been properly boarded up when it was closed, it wouldn't be "leaking". Moreover, if 75% of all calls to Potowomut are of the rescue variety, it would seem that a retrofitted school could house a rescue vehicle & perhaps a small piece of fire fighting equipment.

Again, before we spend money on infrastructure lets make sure we haven't ignored the "low hanging fruit" right in front of our collective eyes.
