The funds were there. They chose not to allocate them to the program. There was $100K for a new administrator position to oversee evaluations. There were raises for employees. Why can't the evaluators who were paid the last 2 years to learn the system teach others how to do the evaluations? There was a little talk about using the money to create a different program but it has not happened. My child was told to bring in the summer work so she could get some extra credit for something. I don't want her to get extra credit. I don't want her to have inflated grades because someone feels bad that she did the work... I want her to actually learn more. The motto of the program was raise the bar. Warwick Schools should be ashamed of themselves. Why raise the bar when it can be lowered...

Warwick elected the union hack, Karen Bachus, to the school committee and this is what you get; Less for the kids, more for the employees. 17 days after the election she voted to give the union a raise and didn't have the money to pay for it. They didn't have the guts to close Gorton because people would have been laid off, saving millions, and they have a budget problem.... cut the kids programs... problem solved.
