Good article. I've noticed when it rains it pours. It used to be 1" of rain was a big precip. event. Now 1" in 1 hour is nothing and rain storms are adding up to several inches during a single storm. Snowstorms are bigger because more moisture but all you need for a temperature is 32 f. So they are usually a heavy wet snow event.

In Autumn the frosts are coming later and later. Used to be October for Providence area and now it is November.

Below zero temps are rare. Don't confuse wind chill with actual temperature.

Rare record breaking cold events, however record warm records fall on a regular basis. July 2013 hottest ever. Month after month above average.

Flooding, storms, droughts, and heat waves are much more common.

March used to be a winter month now it is Spring. March has been mild with little snow.

Insect diseases which were unheard of 20 years ago are plaguing our area.

So folks please recycle, reduce, re-use. Please when making life decisions such as what car to buy keep in mind gas prices and reducing co2 pollution.

When buying a home don't buy one near a river, look for a good southern exposure to the sun, don't heat home using oil, invest in solar panels or windmills. There are a lot of resources out there for ideas on how to save money and the environment.

Perhaps we can slow this warming train.
