"The 2008 vote might be characterized as simply misguided, as most of the country was then caught up in the fervor to elect a black president." Are you really as racist as this statement implies you are? Barack Obama was elected president because he was black? Really?

In 2008, the country was sick and tired of eight years of neo-con lies and deceit. It was tired of war. It was disgusted to have been fooled by Bush and his oil and military industrial complex cronies into entering an unnecessary and expensive war that was not about WMDs or Saddam's "ties to the 9-11 terrorists" but rather to line his friends' pockets.

Most of all, it didn't want the dimwitted Sarah Palin to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

After the Bush disaster, we needed someone who we could be proud of and who would help build back our position on the world stage, which Obama has done very well. McCain is a grumpy old man, who makes poor decisions (ala Palin) - voters saw that and knew that he could hardly be considered the best man for the job, but Obama was and is.

I am looking forward to your sexist diatribe in November 2016 when Hillary Clinton is elected president.
