'100 years of romance' exhibit at Clouds Hill Museum
Clouds Hill Victorian House Museum will celebrate the 5th Annual 100 Years of Romance exhibit Sunday, Feb. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The exhibit offers something for everyone – whether you have been married for one or 60 years, are thinking of getting married, enjoy the designs and textiles of the past, or are just a romantic at heart. Spend time viewing our collection of wedding gowns from 1870s to 1980s against the backdrop of one of Rhode Island’s hidden treasures – beautiful architecture, interior design and furnishings.
Clouds Hill, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization is located at 4157 Post Road in Warwick, is a private home that has remained in the same family since it was built; the house is also a museum. In addition to pre-planned events, like this one, the museum opens to the public by appointment. Guests from around the world have found this house to be one of the best examples of Victoriana, “surpassing even the Bellevue Avenue manors in terms of authenticity of its contents.”
An admission of $12 per person will be charged or $20 for two – a special rate for this exhibit – so bring your loved one or a friend.
