I think it’s safe to say that Hendricken defensive end Kwity Paye had a memorable senior season in green and gold.
He led the Hawks to a seventh consecutive state title, scoring four touchdowns against rival La Salle in the Super Bowl, earned a spot at the Under Armour All-America Game and committed to play at the University of Michigan, a national collegiate power.
After initially making a verbal commitment to Boston College, Paye broke his commitment when the former defensive coordinator at BC, Don Brown, took over in the same capacity at Michigan.
Brown quickly sold Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh on Paye, and an offer was extended.
Paye is now set to suit up for the maize and blue in the fall after the Wolverines finished 10-3 in 2016, dropping a 33-32 final to No. 8 Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
