Warwick Police issued 178 seat belt/child seat violations, arrested 13 motorists for operating with suspended licenses, arrested five motorists for operating under the influence and made various other unrelated arrests during the recently concluded “Click It Or Ticket” campaign.
The Warwick Police joined local and national law enforcement officers and highway safety advocates all across the country during the national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement campaign, which ran from March 18 through 24.
During the mobilization, officers ticketed motorists who failed to wear their seat belts both day and night. The goal was to keep everyone safe on our roadways and to prevent the senseless injuries and deaths because someone made the wrong choice not to wear their seat belt..
