The Warwick North junior softball team, which was comprised of many players that went to the Little League World Series in Oregon in 2015, earned another trip to the World Series after powering through state and New England competition over the summer.
The juniors went a perfect 8-0 in the East Regional, defeating New Jersey in the title series to clinch a berth in the World Series in Kirkland, Washington. To reach the final round, the Rhode Island representatives edged Pennsylvania, 4-3.
Warwick North’s roster consisted of Dyonna Rodas, Emily Carter, Hailey Mackinnon, Kiley Lemieux, Sierra Ricci, Sophie DeTroia, Sydni Bigelli, Gianna Altieri, Taylor Suffoletto, Olivia Murray, Jordan Tiberi, Lexi Brown and Alyssa Richard.
