Roller Derby hosting N.H. team

On Saturday March 10, Providence Roller Derby’s Rhode Island Riveters will battle New Hampshire’s Skate Free or Die for the first time in roller derby history. NHRD is new to the Women's Flat Track Derby Association and is an up and coming team, currently ranked 26th out of 34 teams in the Eastern Region, where PRD is ranked 13th. Led by seasoned captains Sweet Tease and Shamblock, and drawing on fan favorites like Jetta Von Diesel and Rhoda Perdition, the Riveters are hoping for a victory.

Narragansett Ocean Skate Club will host the bout. The venue will offer a great opportunity for veteran fans to get close to their favorite derby girls, and for newcomers to learn more about the sport. This is an all age’s event and children are welcome. Due to limited seating, fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
