In separate resolutions from the City Council, House of Representatives and the State Senate, Felix Carlone’s 25 years of service as the first and only chairman of the Rhode Island Contractors’ Registration and Licensing Board was recognized at a recent City Council meeting. Carlone retired from the position in July of 2015. In reading the City Council resolution, Ward 5 Councilman Ed Ladouceur noted that Carlone was presented with the General Roberts Award for Consumer Protection in February of 2008 by Attorney General Patrick Lynch for service on the Rhode Island Contractors’ Registration and Licensing Board and retired this year after serving as Chairman of the Building Construction/ Cabinetmaking Technology Department at New England Institute of Technology. Carlone also served as President of the Rhode Island Builders Association for the 2010 through 2014 term. Ward 4 Councilman Joseph Solomon (left) presented Carlone with a resolution introduced by his son, Rep.
