3rd Annual Amazing Wish Race for Children’s Wishes Oct. 20

The 3rd Annual Amazing Wish Race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, and is presented by sponsors Cardi’s Furniture and East Commerce Solutions, Inc. This exciting event is a scavenger hunt that will have participants solving puzzles, completing challenges and competing for prizes throughout Rhode Island. Participants and supporters have been raving about this unique event as it was recently voted Rhode Island Monthly’s “Best” Charity Event.

Teams of up to four can be created and participants can register through the website at www.cwishesri.com. For a registration fee of a $25 donation per person, each participant will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt, participation in the race and a ticket to the wish race after-party (details TBA). The race kick-off will be held at the Children’s Wishes office, 2346 Post Road, Suite 102, Warwick, from 9 to 11a.m., where teams will receive their first clue. This will be followed by the all-day scavenger hunt with a conclusion of an after-party where winning teams will receive their prizes. First place team will receive $2,000 in Cardi’s Furniture gift cards.

Teams that raise $200 or more through sponsors will be entered into a raffle to have a local personality join their team.

Last year, teams participated in fun challenges such as a Cardi’s Furniture scavenger hunt at their store, hitting baseballs against Dennis “Oil Can” Boyd at East Commerce Solutions’ batting cage, putting a Mr. Potato Head together blindfolded at Hasbro, searching for items in the sand at Narragansett Beach and playing games and collecting tickets at Dave & Buster’s. This year the challenges and venues will be different and, as always, will be a surprise for the participants.

All proceeds go to Children’s Wishes and will help to grant wishes with love. Contact Dana Hrabcsak at 559-9530 for more information about this event or Children’s Wishes.
