4 city eateries offering fixed menu for Restaurant Week

Rhode Island Restaurant Week continues this week with four participating Warwick locations: Legal Sea Foods, Iron Works Tavern, 1149 and Elizabeth of Portofino. The 10th Annual Restaurant Week began on July 12 and will continue through this Saturday, July 25. Each of the locations will over a fixed three-course menu at $14.95 for lunch and $29.95 for dinner.

Mayor Scott Avedisian said restaurant week is a great opportunity to try a new restaurant or a new dish they may not normally, and “hopefully you enjoy it enough to go back again.”

Often, he said, we can get in a rut having the same dish or going to the same restaurant over and over, but restaurant week highlights those restaurants to try.

“It’s a win-win,” he said. “It helps the economy and it is a way for people to come together and enjoy a great night with great food.”

Lori Piscopio, owner of Iron Works Tavern, said that lunch is an “especially great deal,” but that overall restaurant week allows people to try “real quality food and value at the same time.”

Garry McCann, a manager at Legal Sea Foods, believes that restaurant week is always very popular and it helps every location get exposure to bring “new guests in.”

Sales manager at 1149, Brooke Dadona said that as a location outside of Providence, customers get to experience high quality food and the restaurant week atmosphere without having to go into the city. 1149 will also be continuing their restaurant week menu until September.
