At the same time, Steve Starger was in New York City as a member of the psychedelic band NGC-4594, meeting Chelsea girls and Factory followers, and experiencing the environment that inspired a groundbreaking LP. Join Steve for a celebration of 50 years of The Velvet Underground & Nico at Warwick Public Library on Wednesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. Hear about New York City in the 1960s and how it shaped the VUs songwriting, listen to the entire album and talk about what the music says to you.
