Over the holiday season Wendy Bentley, a second grade teacher, presented her students with a challenge. She encouraged them to earn some money doing extra chores around their house and all the funds raised were then put towards purchasing toys for the Toys for Tots program, which provides gifts for children in low-income and underprivileged families. Through this program, which was sure to please students and parents alike, Bentley’s second grade class was able to raise $146 towards the purchase of toys. Pictured is Bentley’s class holding up some of the toys they purchased for Toy for Tots. (Submitted photo)
