Norwood School sixth graders hosted a “Crazy Hair Day” Wednesday to raise funds and awareness of tuberous sclerosis complex, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in different organs. Students were urged to create their own hairstyle and donate $1 to the TS Alliance in the name of Rylee Skodras. Rylee, who was diagnosed with the disorder at 2 months old, is now 6. She is the daughter of Norwood resource teacher Kristen Skodras. Here, Kristen admires the coiffeur of fourth grader Saleen Ritchie before they join some of the many students who participated in the event.
