More than 460 athletes competed in field and track events Saturday as Hendricken High School hosted one of three regional Special Olympics games leading up to the state Special Olympics to be held May 31, June 1 and 2 at URI. An athlete must compete at least in one of the regional events to qualify for the state Special Olympics where 1,200 are expected to compete.
