The former Friendly’s Ice Cream at the corner of Church and Warwick Avenues is being renovated into a 7-Eleven convenience store. Contrary to speculation that the building would come down and include a convenience store and gas station, the city planning department said no gas pumps are planned and the front door to the building would be relocated to where the takeout window was previously located. 7-Eleven is also looking for a curb cut to the store from Church Avenue. The plan includes landscaping and screening.
