A heart for helping

Toll Gate High School senior Kiara Proulx chose to hand-make 50 heart-shaped post-surgery breast pillows for her Nursing Program senior project. She was inspired by her teacher Karen Farley, a breast cancer survivor, after explaining how helpful the pillow was to her following her own surgery. Kiara stopped by the American Cancer Society office in Warwick recently to donate the pillows. Pictued from left are: Kayla Castronova, community executive for the American Cancer Society, Kiara Proulx, and Ana Soares, development associate.
