The Festa Italiana Society of Rhode Island recently presented a check for $2,000 to the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Hundreds attended the fundraiser thrown by the Festa Italiana Society at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick. The group has raised nearly $35,000 for the MS Society since the early 1990s.The Festa Italiana Society, which was founded in 1968 as a community organization to support local charities and scholarships, works to preserve and promote the Italian-American culture through celebrating their heritage.
