With family members who are veterans and knowing several Meadowbrook Terrace tenants are veterans, George Chausse and Barbara Day held a Veterans Day lunch yesterday in the complex community room. Monetary donations from tenants and food donations from area businesses helped make the lunch possible. George’s father, who is now deceased, served in the Army in Vietnam. Barbara’s son, Peter Marshall, and his son, Peter, are presently both serving in Afghanistan. Both George and Barbara said they do whatever they can to help veterans. This is the first Veterans Day lunch, which they hope to make a tradition.
