Portesi made an upset run through the qualifying rounds of the state singles tournament and will be the only Warwick competitor in the 32-player tournament, which starts this weekend. Portesi, who plays No. 2 singles for the Titans, won two matches to qualify for states. She also added two victories last week in regular-season matches for Toll Gate.
