Abigail Leigh Ashey and Joshua David Wesson were united in marriage October 12, 2014 by Reverend Ryan Connors at Our Lady of Mercy of Church, East Greenwich. A reception followed at the Quonset “O” Club in North Kingstown. The organist was Henri St. Louis, violinist Laura Gulley and soloist Deirdre Donovan.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Mary Phipps of Belmont, New Hampshire. She is a graduate of New Hampshire High School, Plymouth State University and Johnson & Wales University. She is employed by North Smithfield High School.

The groom is the son of Rick and Jacqueline Wesson of East Greenwich. He is a graduate of East Greenwich High School and New England Institute of Technology. He is employed by Wesson Construction Inc.

Tiffany Holgate, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina and Tiffany Rowe, sister-in-law of the bride, Lindsay and Brittney Wesson, cousins of the groom, Jessica Phaneuf, Amanda Repose, Jessica Micek and Rachele Krawetz. Eva Phaneuf was the flower girl and Hadley Wesson was the flower baby.

Corey Kettner, cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen, were Nicholas and Hobart Rowe, brothers of the bride, David Holgate, brother-in-law of the groom, Danny Pollard, Mark Bradshaw, Eddy Stahowiak, John Larsen and Daniel Krawetz. Nicholas Rowe II, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride wore a white satin trumpet gown with a tank bodice featuring seaming and button back detail; a pleated trumpet skirt and chapel train with an embellished feed-through satin sash; and a fingertip pencil-edge tulle veil.

The couple resides in North Kingstown.
