The Edgewood Congregational Church will hold an Advent Lights Bazaar in the church’s Lower Sawyer Hall this Saturday, Dec. 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A variety of gift items, Christmas decorations, collectibles, jewelry, handmade crafts, fudge, homemade goodies, plants and floral arrangements will be on sale at very reasonable prices.
A Straw Raffle will be held. Refreshments will be available. Activities for the children and special children’s gifts will add to the celebration, along with a special Christmas Shoppe and Grandma’s Attic.
The church raises funds every year to support their community outreach program. Many local organizations, including scout groups, AA and other youth and adult programs meet in the church building at 1788 Broad St. in Edgewood.
Chairperson Pat Kohler welcomes all to the bazaar.
“Our motto is, ‘Wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here,” Kohler said. “Our new minister, Gary Begley, will be joining us on December 1, and we will put him right to work.”
