Nick Albanese has been playing the comedy circuit in Rhode Island and beyond since graduating from CCRI with a major in theatre.
The 41-year-old Lincoln resident has had them in stitches at the Comedy Connection, Twin River, Catch a Rising Star and his favorite venue, private parties.
Nick has appeared in movies and on TV, but he loves telling his stories about “Memoirs of the Last Sicilian,” which he will perform on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7, at 8 p.m. at Cranston’s Theatre 82 on Rolfe St.
“They are all true stories,” Nick said, “from the time my grandparents got off the boat right up to today. I’m the first born American. I grew up working at my father’s bakery in the North End of Providence. We lived over the bakery. I have a number of funny and poignant stories about growing up Sicilian in Rhode Island. There are stories for everyone, and you don’t have to be Sicilian to enjoy them.”
Nick has been working on the play for a couple of years and can’t wait to premiere it in Cranston. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the theatre.
