Alexis F. “Lexie” (Hallock) Jesser

Alexis F. “Lexie” (Hallock) Jesser, age 72, of Chambly Avenue, Warwick, died on December 31, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ronald J. Jesser.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Richard A. and Edith A. (O’Toole) Hallock, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. Jesser was a C.N.A. at West Bay Manor in Warwick for over 15 years before retiring, and was later employed in the bakery at Shaws Market in Warwick. Mrs. Jesser was a direct descendent of John Alden and William Brewster of the Mayflower. She was an avid Boston Bruins fan and loved cooking and crochet.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda A. Burke and her husband, Richard, a son, Ronald J. Jesser, Jr.; two brothers: Richard A. Hallock, Jr., and George E. Hallock, a sister, Adelaide H. Stomberg; all of Warwick; three grandchildren, Evan R. Burke, Grace A. Burke, and Joelle L. Brown.

Her funeral was held on Monday, January 6, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a service at 10 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 139 Ocean Avenue, Cranston. Burial was in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.
