Alfonso A. DiTata, 88, passed away May 1, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Elsa (Bruni) DiTata for 66 years

A son of the late Nicola and Cora (Palangio) DiTata, Mr. DiTata was employed as a supervisor for the Lessona Corp. for 32 years and a machinist for Com Tech for 5 years before retiring. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran and a communicant of St. Kevin Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Edward J. DiTata, one daughter, Claire M. DiTata Cook; one brother, Nickolas DiTata and one sister, Margaret Courcy. He was the brother of the late Mary Marciano.

His funeral was held Monday, May 6 at from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial with military honors was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours were Sunday.
