Alice H. (McMahon) O’Rourke

Alice H. (McMahon) O’Rourke, age 89, of Bellman Avenue, Warwick, died at home on November 20, 2012. She was the wife of the late James J. O’Rourke.

Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late William E. and Katherine (Sylvia) McMahon, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. O’Rourke was employed at Trifari Jewelry in Providence and East Providence for 25 years, retiring as an inspector in 1977.

She is survived by three sisters, Claire L. McMahon of Warwick, Jane F. Esposito of Providence, and Kathleen “Dee Dee” Monahan of Warwick, a brother, Richard McMahon of Warwick; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Helen M. Palazzo, William E. McMahon, Jr., and Raymond McMahon.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 23, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. www.barrettandcotter.com.
