To the Editor:
As a response to the Boston Marathon bombing, President Obama said, “Anytime bombs are used to target innocent civilians, it is an act of terror.”
On April 7, the U.S. dropped a bomb on an Afghan home killing 11 Afghan children and two women; prolific tears for the Newtown, Conn. kids, but not one teary eye for the dead kids of Afghanistan.
All kids are equal. These kinds of killings happen all too frequently. Maybe President Obama and the U.S. public do not care about Afghan children being killed by U.S. bombs, but the parents of those kids are probably a little irritated with the U.S. policy of killing innocent children and pretending they don’t matter.
