Sherman Elementary School first-graders in Traci Marrocco, Lynn Ceidenberg and Hollie Read’s classes celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday by decorating their shirts with 100 items. Designs ranged from 100 buttons, 100 hand-drawn basketballs, a dog with 100 spots, 100 googly eyes, pom-poms or stickers, and even 100 dots forming a tie. In addition to showing off their shirts, students in first grade and kindergarten created necklaces with 100 fruit loops on the string, which they enjoyed eating throughout the day.
