Allied Group acquires United Printing

The Allied Group, a leading marketing communications and fulfillment services company based in Cranston, has acquired United Printing, a full-service, commercial printer based in Warwick.

United Printing, a family owned and operated business led by President and CEO Raymond Amore and Vice President Barbara Caminito, has been a leading full-service, commercial printer offering sheet-fed printing and mailing for close to 70 years.

“We saw an excellent opportunity to join forces with another well-known and well-respected printer,” said Robert C. Clement, CEO at The Allied Group. “We have a progressive attitude and approach to growing our business, which is critical to maintaining and increasing our relevance in the Rhode Island and New England marketplace.”

United Printing is The Allied Group’s sixth acquisition since 2000. With this most recent acquisition, The Allied Group anticipates that its annual sales will top $22 million in 2012 and that the company will include 160 employees. As a result of the acquisition, The Allied Group will add numerous new clients to its customer base as well as a large percentage of existing United Printing employees.
