Andrew Paul Mulvaney, 90, a retired Navy careerist and postal worker for over 20 years, died Sunday, August 10, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Isabel (Gormly) Mulvaney.

Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a son of the late Patrick J. and Ellen (Sullivan) Mulvaney, he has been a resident of Warwick since 1962. Mr. Mulvaney was a Navy veteran of World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. He served on various ships on both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets, retiring as Sr. Chief Boatswains Mate. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and a parishioner of St. Kevin Church.

He was the beloved father of Maureen Fritchy, Karen Myers and Paula Mulvaney; brother of Eileen Gilhooley, Mary Sullivan, Theresa McGinnis and the late Edward, Larry, Leo and Joseph Mulvaney. Also survived by five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane.
