Andy J. Santagata, 42, of Jambray Ave., Warwick, passed away October 22, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Sandra (Bianco) Santagata of Cranston and the late Andomieglio "Andy" Santagata. Andy worked for RIPTA for the past 18 years and was a member of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 618 Providence.

He was the loving and devoted father of Andrew P. and Matthew J. Santagata, both at home; dear brother of Melissa A. King and her husband, Edward, of Cranston; and loving uncle of Hailey and Gianna King. He also leaves his companion, Sharon Alzarez of Warwick.

His funeral will be held Oct. 27 from Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
