Ann C. (King) Farrell, 98, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late James L. Farrell. Born in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Matilda (Rapp) King, she resided on Staten Island until moving to Warwick three years ago. While living in New York, she had been very active in her parishes of St. Augustine and St. Clare. She loved traveling with her husband, was an avid reader and kept up on current events.
She leaves two children, Madeline Farrell Nixon, Professor, RI College and her husband, William J. Nixon and James Farrell and his wife, Marianne Collinson; two grandsons, Joseph Farrell and his wife, Felicia, and James Farrell, she was the great-grandmother of Maxwell James Farrell; and sister of Margaret Gallagher and the late Joseph King, Andrew King and Marion Mahoney.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m.
