Anna J. (Iacone) Palombo, 84, passed away February 10, 2014 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Palombo, Jr.
She was a daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Livibelli) Iacone. Anna was formerly employed as a secretary and auto insurance underwriter for H.V. Allen Insurance Agency and later as a teacher’s aide in the East Greenwich School Department. Anna was a former member of the Buttonwoods Beach Association. Anna loved spending time with her grandchildren and her weekly card games with her friends. Anna also enjoyed cooking and was well known for her homemade pizzas.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph V. Palombo and V. James Palombo, both of Warwick; five grandchildren, Laura, Julia, Joanna, Eric and Christopher Palombo; and a great-grandchild, Coreyna. She was the sister of the late Nancy Eacuello, Vincent Iacone and Richard Iacone.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, February 12 at 11 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long Street. Burial will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
