Anthony T. “Tony” Heller, Jr., 71, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Coventry, Warwick and Cumberland, RI passed away peacefully on February 18, 2014 at Peace River Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly (Pickering) Heller.

Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Anthony T. Heller Sr. and Alfreda (Johnson) Heller. Tony was the owner of Heller Transportation and co-owner of the H & M Truck Wash in East Providence. In addition, he also spent many years working for the State of Rhode Island, with the better part of his life spent as a truck driver. Mr. Heller was very proud of his years of service as a volunteer Fireman with the Hill Farm fire department in Coventry and was an avid boater as well as a lifetime motorcycle enthusiast.

He is survived by three daughters, Michele Bettez and her husband, Jay of Coventry, Christina Ferreira and her husband, David of Warwick, Heidi Straus of Ohio; four grandchildren: Sheah Lee Heller of Barrington, Caitlyn Dee Rathbun of Coventry, Tiffany Meunier of Warwick and Nicolas Hartley of Ohio; a brother and sister; Michael P. Heller and Nancy Imondi of Coventry.

Mr. Heller will be buried in a private family service at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.
